What we collect
Information you give us
When you submit an enquiry we collect your name, the firm you work for if you give one, your email address, your telephone number if you give one, and the details of the proposed facility — amount, term, security address and type, and proposed exit.
If your enquiry progresses, we will collect further information needed to assess and document a facility. We will tell you what that is at the time.
Information we collect automatically
Our hosting provider records technical information about requests to this site, including IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to keep the site available and secure. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and this site does not track you across other websites.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We do not use your details for marketing. Submitting an enquiry does not add you to a mailing list. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only where it is necessary:
- Solicitors instructed on a transaction
- Valuers and surveyors instructed on the security property
- Identity verification and anti-money-laundering screening providers
- Our IT and hosting providers, who process data on our instructions
- Our professional advisers, including accountants and auditors
- Law enforcement, regulators or courts where we are legally required to do so
Where a provider processes personal information on our behalf, they act only on our instructions and under a written contract.
Where your information is held
Our website and enquiry data are hosted on infrastructure within the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Where any provider processes personal information outside the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision to protect it.
How long we keep it

- Object to us using your information where we rely on legitimate interests
- Ask us to transfer information you gave us to another organisation, in a machine-readable format
Some of these rights are limited. Where we are legally required to keep records — anti-money-laundering records in particular — we cannot delete them on request.

Automated decision-making
We do not make lending decisions by automated means. Every enquiry is assessed by a person.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at privacy@ailsworthcapital.com so we can try to put it right.
